Out now is the latest issue of one of our favourite movie magazines, Cinema Retro, featuring on its cover some saucy vampire action in the form of Yutte Stensgaard from Hammer classic Lust for a Vampire.
Specialising in action, thriller, horror and blockbuster movies of the '60s and '70s, Cinema Retro has a long tradition of bringing its readers well-researched features, exclusive interviews with stars, movie-makers and technicians, and the best in full-colour publicity, behind-the-scenes and on-set photography.
The latest issue, Volume 6 number 16, has plenty to please gore-hounds with a look at the making of cult Hammer movie Lust for a Vampire; and there are also pieces on Juggernaut, The Godfather Part II, and Man from U.N.C.L.E. movie How to Steal the World.
Also worthy of note is the second part of Steve Saragossi's conversation with James Caan, interviews with actress Shirley Anne Field and director Norman Jewison, and a piece on character actor Joe Turkel (you'll remember him from The Shining and Blade Runner), together with the usual pages of news, reviews and previews.
The cover price of Cinema Retro is £6.95, but until the end of January this issue is available to subscribers only; for details visit the website at www.cinemaretro.com.
