Groundbreaking LED and 3D projectors unveiled by projectiondesign

High-end projector specialist projectiondesign has previewed its first LED-illuminated projector, and a range of 3D models, for the corporate and pro-AV markets.
The FL32 LED (pictured left) is not being targeted at the home cinema enthusiast, more the simulation, training and presentational markets, where long-life and low maintenance are seen as key attributes. It’ll be available in 1080p or WUXGA resolution options.

The Norwegian brand has dubbed its LED technology ReaLED, and guarantees a 100,000 hour lifespan, making lamp replacements a thing of the past. Anders Lokke, the brand’s International Marketing & Communications Manager, says: ‘There is no longer a need to replace consumables during the projector’s working life, ensuring a very high degree of color accuracy and image performance. It is ideal for 24/7 operation installations.’

Four into 3D
Four 3D models will also be released this year, each configured for different professional applications. The brand introduced a 3D model a year ago, and says that commercial interest is finally growing. ‘We are seeing more and more end-users in the commercial space realizing that 3D can benefit their productivity and the accuracy of their work. This is happening not just in traditional applications such as industrial and military, but in new markets that we are already working with like gaming design, medical, education, and VFX and post production.’
