M&S shines with Swarovski LCD TV

HCC News Team's picture

Marks & Spencer is set to sparkle this Christmas by launching a blinged-up 19in LCD TV. The screen, which also contains an integrated DVD player and Freeview tuner, is adorned with over 500 Crystallized Swarovski Element crystals and is strictly limited edition – with only 1,000 units available in 40 of the retailer's stores nationwide.

The TV is HD Ready, although it carries the peculiar, PC-monitor-like resolution of 1440 x 900, but it can carry signals up to 1080i. It also boasts a contrast ratio of 500:1, brightness of 300cl/m2 and response time of 8ms. For those worried about the polar bears, it also has a green button on the remote control that switches the set completely off (rather than in standby).

The pimped-up panel is available for £399 from all M&S stores with technology departments.
