CEDIA announces Best Custom Installs of 2009

The custom installation trade body CEDIA UK has revealed its Award Winners for 2009, covering cinema rooms from less than £40,000 to ultra high-end multi-room jobs costing in excess of £200,000.

Far from being a parochial affair, this year’s trade event features mouth-watering, high-end installations from companies in India, the Netherlands, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece and Spain.

Robert Hallam, Chairman of CEDIA Region 1, says: ‘We were thrilled at the quantity and quality of the entries received this year and it’s great to see so many from outside the UK not only entering the awards, but winning them as well.’

Categories and winners for 2009 are as follows:
Best home cinema installation under £40,000 (70,000 Euros)

Best home cinema installation from £40K-£100,000 (70,000-150,000 Euros)
Winner: Sound Decisions Consultancy & Services
Best home cinema installation over £100,000 (150,000 Euros)
Winner: Synergy Technologies
Best integrated home under £100,000 (150,000 Euros)
Winner: Grahams Hi-Fi
Best integrated home from £100,000 - £250,000 (150,000 – 370,000 Euros)
Winner: MR Domotica
Best integrated home over £250,000 (370,000 Euros)
Winner: Censys Residential Control (pictured below)

Best dressed installation
Winner: Imagine This
Best marine installation
Winner: Icon Connect
Best multi dwelling
Winner: SmartComm

In addition to the custom install categories, two trade gongs were also handed out: Best Trade Supplier went to Crestron while the winner of Best Training Initiative was AWE Europe.
