Freesat is aiming to carve a major role for itself in TV’s post-analogue age, competing against Freeview, Sky and cable/broadband operators. For those unable to receive a terrestrial signal, it represents a viable multi-channel TV (and radio) option. Freesat also offers an HD carrot in the guise of free-to-view BBC HD and, exclusively, ITV HD.

John McKay (not verified) - 19 April 2009 - 9:51amI ordered mine way back in December and managed to get it in time for Christmas 2008. Since then it has worked flawlessly and has proven to be an excellent buy.
I can't understand any concern in picture quality, particularly relating to SD. In my oppinion the HD picture is superb (albeit with limited support from freesat at the moment) BUT the difference between SD and HD isn't going to be a show stopper. SD is just so much better than my freeview that it's been worth it for that alone. This is a 5 star product in my oppinion.
